For Immediate Release
The design of ACCPAC for Windows Plus Series is based on ACCPAC for Windows, the company's flagship multi-tier accounting product and provides more features than ACCPAC's DOS-based accounting software product, ACCPAC Plus Accounting. ACCPAC for Windows Plus Series is a powerful modular accounting solution for small- to medium-sized businesses and supports up to five concurrent users in Windows NT, NetWare, and Peer-to- Peer environments.
"With this strategic entry, ACCPAC INTERNATIONAL is in a unique position to provide accounting solutions today for virtually every business size, from the one-man company to the SQL-based enterprise," said F. S. (Rick) Wysocki, general manager of ACCPAC INTERNATIONAL. "By reaching an untapped market of businesses looking for affordable Windows-based accounting solutions, and by offering our ACCPAC DOS clients (the world's largest installed base of accounting software users) a solid migration path to Windows, ACCPAC INTERNATIONAL is poised to dramatically expand the global Windows accounting market."
Upon surveying ACCPAC Plus DOS clients, it was found that a significant number of them work on NetWare or Peer-to-Peer environments and perceive today's Windows products as too much technology and therefore too expensive. Many expressed the need to upgrade to Windows-based accounting, but haven't had an affordable option that meets their sophisticated accounting requirements.
"Investment protection for the end user is important to us at Dreyer Software, Inc. In addition to the special trade-up pricing for existing ACCPAC Plus users that ACCPAC INTERNATIONAL offers, we also offer special allowances for users of the BPI mid-range system and the Simply entry-level product," noted Tom Hutchinson, CEO at Dreyer Software, Inc. "The wonderful advantage of ACCPAC products is scalability -- the ability to grow the system as your company expands."
ACCPAC for Windows Plus Series modules include: System Manager, Account Receivable, Accounts Payable, Order Entry and Inventory Control. The product also integrates with ACCPAC for Windows modules, including Payroll, Purchase Orders and BrioQuery Analysis and Reporting.
